On March 31, 1564, John Dee (1527-1609), the great English magician, one of the most enlightened people of the Elizabethan era and the creator of the Enochian magic system, published his work "The Hieroglyphic Monad", which was completed on January 13 of the same year. John Dee formed the ideas of this work for 7 years, and wrote it for 13 days. In the "Hieroglyphic Monad" there are 23 theorems in which the occult glyph is analyzed. Reflections on geometric forms and symbolism of the Hieroglyphic Monad is capable of conveying an understanding of the fundamental elements of the universe.

31 марта 1564 года Джон Ди (1527-1609), великий английский маг, один из самых просвещенных людей елизаветинской эпохи и создатель системы Енохианской магии, опубликовал свое сочинение "Иероглифическая Монада", оконченное 13 января того же года. Джон Ди формировал идеи данного сочинения в течение 7 лет, и писал его в течение 13 дней. В "Иероглифической Монаде" приводится 23 теоремы, в которых разбирается оккультный глиф, размышлени над геометрическими формами и символизмом которого способно передать понимание основополагающих элементов мироздания.

March 31, 1857, Frederick Leigh Gardner was born in London, a British occultist and a member of various initiatory orders, including the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
Frederick Leigh Gardner was born in the family of an accountant. His parents practiced spiritism and conducted a spiritist sessions at home. Sometimes Gardner himself played the role of an unwitting medium. In 1886 he became a broker on the stock exchange, and in 1903 he began to sell antiquarian books.
He was a Freemason, a member of Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia and the Theosophical Society (1884). He corresponded with Rev. William Alexander Ayton, a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, where Gardner himself eventually was initiated. He wrote “Catalog Raisonné of Works on the Occult Sciences” - a three-volume bibliographic book devoted to the occult sciences, including texts about Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, astrology.
Frederick Leigh Gardner died in 1930.
