April 11, 1878, Robert Wentworth Little died - the founder of S.R.I.A. (Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia) - Masonic esoteric Christian order. Born in 1840, Robert Wentworth Little acted as a clerk and cashier in the secretarial office of United Grand Lodge of England, and then became secretary of the Royal Institute for Girls. He was also the founder of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Misraim.
Among members of Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia founded by Robert Wentworth Little were founders of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn William Robert Woodman, Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers, William Wynn Westcott and also Arthur Edward Waite who after split in the Order of the Golden Dawn сhristianized its rituals and headed The Fellowship of the Rosy Cross.
