On April 17, 1982, Eugène Léon Canseliet died - French esoteric, alchemist and writer, student of Fulcanelli, author of works on alchemy, as well as prefaces to the works of Fulcanelli.

He studied at the Marseille Lyceum and art school, then at the University of Aix-en-Provence. While studying, he became acquainted with Fulcanelli and his illustrator Jean-Julien Champagne (1877-1932).
